Back Again: The Matchmaker Trilogy Returns
Have you ever known a matchmaker? Perhaps a woman, usually older and wiser, who puts people together for the purpose of falling in love? Hello, Victoria Lesser! An energetic young widow who lives in New York, Victoria has precious few worries – beyond providing a happily ever after for special friends. The Matchmaker Trilogy, originally written in 1986, is part of Barbara Delinsky’s oh-so-hot past as a romance writer. The angst these characters feel and its evolution works both then and now. Click on any of the covers below to read more about each book in the series: The Real Thing, Crossed Hearts, and The Invitation, now available in e-book format for the first time.
The Dream: Crosslyn Rise Trilogy Returns
Picture a grand old Colonial home standing proudly on a hill, a rolling front lawn that spills down to the sea, and five generations of a family loving every one of its seventeen rooms. But age has crept up, and the sole family member living there can barely afford to heat the place, much less cover the taxes and cost of repairs. She conceives of a way to develop it commercially while still preserving its glory and charm, but she needs help. Now in e-book format, the beloved Crosslyn Rise series, consisting of The Dream, The Dream Unfolds, and The Dream Comes True, consists of three sets of love stories written in 1990. Among the last of Barbara’s category romances, their style is similar to that of more recent Delinsky books. While there’s no texting and no Google, there is great conflict. And great sex.
Facets Now Available for E-Readers
Facets, originally published in 1990, debuts in e-book form on December 3. With high family drama spanning decades, a plot that centers on tourmaline mining in a small New England town, and multiple hot love stories involving the fates of three strong women, Facets is quintessential Delinsky.

Sweet Salt Air Review: Evokes the Senses, Well Contextualized with Grace and Dignity
The NY Journal of Books praises Sweet Salt Air in their review: ‘With grace and dignity Sweet Salt Air reveals the fragility of human nature while intimating at the healing powers of forgiveness. The depiction of this tiny fictitious island with a varied and outstanding populace is well contextualized, as the author evokes the senses with sights, scents, and sounds such as: “Today, there was just the smell of sunscreen and surf, hours without awareness of time, and when the sun was at its highest and warmest, crab cakes on buns, topped with Dorey’s special tartar sauce.”‘

RT Book Reviews Names Sweet Salt Air a Mainstream Fiction “Top Pick”
RT Book Reviews gives Sweet Salt Air their highest Gold “Phenomenal” rating. “Delinsky captures the magic of coastal Maine in this beautifully written book about friendship and redemption. The characters are engaging and their various plights believable. The drama of betrayal, the tension of risk and the triumph of friendship play out in a setting that is a character in itself. A fantastic summer read!” Click here to read the actual clipping.

The Secret Between Us Earns Publishers Weekly Starred Review
Deborah is juggling a lot: as a family doctor, she is in private practice with her über-demanding widower father, who is trying to hide a drinking problem; her son, Dylan, is vision impaired; her mother’s death continues to affect the family; Deborah is still dealing with her ex-husband’s new, separate life; and her unmarriedsister, Jill, has just announced she’s pregnant. Grace’s guilt about not taking responsibility for the accident makes her withdraw from friends and family, and the accident victim turns out to have a more complex private life than anyone imagined. The author seamlessly resolves relationship issues without sentiment, throws in a promising romance for Deborah and offers a redemptive scene between Grace and her grandfather. Delinsky combines her understanding of human nature with absorbing, unpredictable storytelling-a winning combination.”
