BIG CHANGE COMING
I mean, BIG change -- right here at this website. In anticipation of the Feb 6 publication of Family Tree, I'm redoing the entire site. I know, I know, I've done redecoration in the past, but this is a whole new rebuild. What will you find? You'll find an entirely new look, starting with an animated HOME page, with new visuals, new fonts, and new offerings.
What new offerings? you ask. Photos, for starters. I've posed for a whole new crop of author pix, more than a dozen of which will appear at various spots on the site.
PODCASTS, for another. I've taped 3-5 minute segments, each uniquely titled and individually accessed, talking about things like why I hate to cook, why I write about daughters when I only have sons, and how the world of publishing has changed in recent years. These PODCASTS, by the way, are like my own little radio show. We're calling it "Everyday Drama," and I'll be adding segments on a regular basis.
Thirdly, there's a multimedia BOOK TRAILER. With the click of your mouse, you can watch a short preview of Family Tree. I've written and narrated the script, and the visuals are incredible. This is something totally new for me. I'll be anxious to know what you think.
Fourth, you'll have easy access to my Family Tree tour schedule, to info on the Berroco gift basket that I'll be raffling off online, and to NEWS, like the piece that will be running in PEOPLE magazine once Family Tree is on sale.
In addition to all this, you'll find the same staples you've always found at my website -- book summaries, biographical information, a Q&A session, and, of course, UPLIFT. The GUESTBOOK will be readily available for your input, along with the UPLIFT Survivor's Journal. And if you'd like to read reviews of Family Tree or, better still, post one yourself, it'll be easy as pie.
When? When? When? We're shooting to go live February 1. If you're on my mailing list, you'll receive an email to that effect. If you're not on my list, SIGN UP NOW, or keep checking back here. Be one of the first to visit my new place, and send me a note with your thoughts.
